It was always fun playing bridge against Lawrence and doubly so when he partnered with his grandson Steven. Always the gentleman…. Sorry girls but I’ll going to have to trump your ace…. Or sorry girls but I’m going to have to double. 💕

I worked with Lawrence for many years at Farm Credit. Always the perfect gentleman. I remember thinking that it must have been a bit of an act, that no one could be that nice all of the time. The longer I worked with Lawrence, the more I came to realize that it wasn't an act at all. He was exactly the person that he portrayed. The perfect gentleman, integrity to the max, the real deal. I loved the glint in his eye when he talked to you. He was always more interested in how you were doing than how he was doing. I enjoyed working with him a great deal.

Just want to say Sympathy to Trevor, Robert and Patti for the loss of their Patriarch in the SWITZER family. 101 is one hell of an age. Take Care J

I will remember LB as the most kind and happy person - truly one of the best. His optimism was both infectious and an inspiration. Sending hugs to the whole Switzer clan as you miss him. May his memory be a blessing. Much love from Michelle and crew. 💙

Our condolences to the family. We enjoyed chatting with Lawrence at Sunset United Church. He always left you feeling a bit happier after being in his company.

Hearing of Lawrence's passing reminded me of all the wonderful times that he and Bette shared with my parents--playing bridge, golfing, and attending Lions' events. I remember him as a real gentleman who was kind and considerate of others.

Lawrence was one of the best that I had the privledge to report to while we were both employed at FCC.

Also visited he and Bette at their Mesa, AZ winter home a few times where he entertained us royally.

I knew Lawrence from playing bridge at the Regina Senior Center. He was a bridge wizard and true gentleman. He is missed.
